On April 6, 2022, the El Monte Promise Foundation (EMPF), launched its Roadmap to College effort which includes distributing 13,000 booklets to all PreK to 8th grade students in the El Monte City and Mountain View School Districts. Roadmap to College is a series of visually appealing documents detailing the college readiness indicators tailored for each specific grade level. The Roadmaps are tangible tools that highlight ways that students, parents, and other stakeholders can support college pathways at home and in the community. This work is a part of EMPF’s commitment to create a seamless cradle-to-college pathway for students in the greater El Monte and South El Monte region.
